Ocean City, Md. – The Coastal Association of REALTORS® (CAR) recently participated in 2020 JA Inspire, which is a hands-on career exploration event coordinated by Junior Achievement of the Eastern Shore. This year’s event was held on Thursday, February 27 at the Ocean City Convention Center, and was attended by over 3,000 local students.

At CAR’s booth, local REALTORS® answered students’ questions about what it’s like to work in the local real estate industry and how to become a REALTOR®. CAR provided visuals that represented the different professionals involved in a real estate transaction, including mortgage lenders, photographers, home inspectors, and more. Also represented in CAR’s visuals were the qualities a person must have in order to become a REALTOR®, such as being a good networker, dressing for success, and having confidence in your abilities. CAR also showed students how to use a Matterport camera to create 3D home tours and how to open a lockbox.
“We really tried to explain to the students how rewarding it is to help others achieve their homeownership dreams,” said CAR President Joe Wilson. “We also handed out ‘Future Homeowner’ stickers and encouraged the students to cultivate their own homeownership dreams.”
